I finally bit the bullet and bought a digital SLR. I really didn't want to, but its more cost-effective. The good news is, my old Canon will be used for B&W only. I picked up a few rolls of Fuji Neopan 400 and will be heading to the Nisqually Wildlife Refuge this weekend.

I ordered a Canon Rebel (what else would a country boy get??!!) XTi. I got a Tamron 28-80 Di (3.5-5.6) and a Tamron 70-300 Di (4-5.6). A few extras as well, including a 4 gig memory card. Remember when 4 gigs was a kick ass hard drive

It arrives early next week, so judging by the book I saw on it at the camera store, I'll be ready to use it sometime next year
